Budapest a historic blend

And its chefs aren't done yet with ever-evolving food styles



During a three-day stay in Budapest before a Danube River cruise, my husband and I enjoyed several unique food experiences in the city and simultaneously learned a bit about Hungarian history and culture. The gastronomy of the city is a mosaic that reflects a complicated history of invasions and occupations as well as successive waves of immigration from Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
